SUPPORT DAVIS

Strengthening Our School and Community

For our school to succeed in a nurturing and dynamic environment, The Davis Academy receives financial donations from parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff and community friends. The generous support from our collective community increases the value of the Davis experience for each and every child.

Ways to Give

There are many ways to give to The Davis Academy and every contribution has an impact throughout the year. Whether you are making a donation to our Next Stage Capital Campaign, an annual gift to the Davis Fund, celebrating someone special with a Tribute , redirecting your Georgia State taxes to support a Davis education through ALEF Fund, or making a donation to our Annual Golf Tournament or Community Celebration, donations can be made in person, online or through the mail. Pledges may be paid by cash, check, credit cards or gifts of stock. Pledges can be billed monthly or quarterly, giving you the flexibility to spread out your payments over the course of the year. All Davis Fund pledges are due in full by June 30. All contributions are tax deductible.

Planned Gifts/Endowments

When arranging a gift as part of a long-term estate and financial plan, you are helping to ensure that The Davis Academy will continue to provide future students with an excellent education. The Davis Academy appreciates parents, alumni, grandparents and friends who support our mission through will commitments, life income gifts, trusts, life insurance retirement plans and outright gifts to the endowment. If you are interested in making a contribution through a planned giving vehicle or establishing an endowment fund please contact Elisa Prager, Director of Advancement at 678-527-3326 or by emailing eprager@davisacademy.org.

How often should I expect to be asked to support The Davis Academy?
The Davis Fund kicks off each year in August. You can expect a written request at this time and a volunteer will follow-up with a phone call. We ask for your commitment as soon as possible; this will reduce the amount of follow up requests you will receive. When additional special campaigns are running, such as a capital campaign, you will be given the opportunity to pledge your support for both campaigns at the same time.
How much should I give?
It is our hope that The Davis Academy will be your family’s top philanthropic priority. We ask that you give at a level that is comfortable for your family. It is suggested that all families consider a gift of $500 or more to The Davis Fund. Leadership giving to The Davis Fund begins with a gift of $2,000 at the Gesher Society level.
What is the difference between Capital Campaign and the annual Davis Fund campaign?

The Davis Fund provides resources by which we use annually in our operating budget. The Capital Campaign provides resources by which our school can grow. As we look to the future of The Davis Academy with new facilities, we still incur our annual operating costs. While a capital campaign gift will help build facilities, an annual fund gift helps operate and support existing school programs for all students.

What is a matching gift?
Your David Fund gift many qualify for a matching gift from your employer, which will allow you to double or even triple your support to The Davis Academy. Confirmation from your employer is necessary to process a matching gift. Contact the Advancement Department at 678-527-3291 for more information.
Does my participation in the ALEF Fund replace my gift to the Davis Fund?
Participation in the ALEF Fund is a redirection of your state tax dollars and is not considered a charitable gift to The Davis Academy. The Davis Academy does, however, recognize tax credit participation in the school’s annual report.
