Almog Gita ’2026: From Atlanta to Team Israel

Almog Gita ’2026, a freshman at The Weber School, is taking her game to the international stage. A standout midfielder for Concorde Fire ECNL U16 Platinum, currently ranked #1 in the South and #2 in the country, Almog has established herself as one of the nation’s elite young soccer players.

Her talent first caught national attention two years ago, when she was invited into the U.S. National Team identification process, where she has continued to be evaluated. As a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, Almog was also eligible to represent Israel—and after being closely followed by the Israeli National Team, she recently received the call: an official invitation to join the Israel Under-17 Women’s National Team.

This October, Almog will travel with Team Israel to Sweden for the UEFA European Championship Qualifiers, taking on France, Sweden, and the Netherlands. After years of training, dedication, and hard work, Almog will now have the opportunity to represent Israel on one of soccer’s biggest international youth stages.

What an incredible achievement and point of pride.
