Sydney Benator graduated from The Weber School in 2014. She earned a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018 and a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia in 2023. She currently works as a Mental Health Therapist, supporting individuals with eating disorders, trauma, and neurodiversity within queer communities. She was recognized as Social Work Student of the Year in 2022. Sydney is actively involved in the Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition and founded an Eating Disorder Consult Group in Athens.

“Something I will always take from my Davis Academy education, as well as my upbringing as a Jewish person, is the concept of Tikkun Olam or repairing the world. I now have a strong passion for social justice and standing up for myself and others in the face of oppression.”
