Always

a Davis Lion.

Throughout their years at The Davis Academy, students are exposed to a variety of responsibilities and opportunities, which introduce them to the concept of individual and communal leadership. Responsibilities and opportunities grow with every grade and by the time they graduate middle school, they have been nurtured and uniquely prepared to choose their ideal next steps. When they live by The Davis Academy values of respect, community, spirit, wisdom and righteousness every day, they carry those with them as they study abroad, travel the world, immerse themselves in new schools, start their own businesses, pursue their careers and become leaders in their communities.

I learned early on at Davis about values like Tikkun Olam and Tzedakah, and I think that whether you are Jewish or not, everyone should make an effort to take care of the world and improve the lives of those less fortunate. I’ve dedicated my career to these values, whose seeds were planted in my mind as a student at Davis.

I started at The Davis Academy as a Mechina student, excited to be with my brother, Jacob, who was a second-grader. I loved my time at Davis, where I made lifelong friendships and developed many of my core values including the importance of Kavod, Tzedakah and Chochma. Davis is also where I developed my love for pole vaulting.

My Davis education definitely pushed me towards a career in nursing. From a young age, I was taught that caring for others and repairing the world is a core value of Judaism. I always enjoyed my science classes at Davis, and I think that allowed me to envision how I could translate success in the classroom to a career in STEM.
