We initially chose The Davis Academy for Michael (2nd grade) and Zoey (Kindergarten) because of its small classroom environment, personalized education curriculum, and strong Jewish foundation. Over the past three years, we’ve quickly learned it’s so much more! 

The personalized attention is extraordinary. Last year, Michael’s 1st-grade teachers were able to provide him with advanced math lessons and Zoey’s Kindergarten team recognized the need to provide her with more challenging reading and enriched math assignments and were able to tailor her curriculum. Whenever we’ve reached out, teachers offer prompt, thoughtful feedback, helping us guide their progress.

Davis’s warm, inclusive community has reshaped our family’s life.

We’ve made lifelong friends who feel like family at Kabbalat Shabbats, the school play, vacations, birthday parties, and more. The arts program and unique extracurricular offerings are one of the best kept secrets at Davis and we feel so fortunate that Michael and Zoey were able to shine on stage this year in Moana Jr.

The Robotics lab and STEM offerings like robotics, coding, and circuits blew us away when we first toured. These hands-on innovations continue to impress us and have enhanced our kids’ academic growth and critical thinking skills.

Judaism and Jewish pride continue to be the central principles that ground the entire school. Michael and Zoey both love learning Hebrew, prayers, and holiday traditions. Being that our family prioritizes community service, we appreciate how tikkun olam programs are introduced each year, deepening their Jewish identity and connecting the students with the community around them. Davis is far beyond what we could have ever imagined!
