Our first 4th and 5th grade book club of the year was a huge success! After reading and discussing The Night Librarian by Christopher Lincoln, students took on a creative challenge: using maker supplies, they designed vaults to protect their most prized books from a "book-napping" like the one in the story. The results were wonderfully inventive, with homemade locks, secret combinations, and clever security features.
