SIMCHAT TORAH CELEBRATION

Today, in addition to celebrating Sukkot, we also celebrated Simchat Torah, which officially takes place next week, marking the completion of the annual cycle of reading the Torah. Students on both campuses had a chance to hear the final verses of the Torah chanted only to be immediately followed by the beginning verses. Eighth graders participated in the special tradition of helping unroll and display an entire Torah scroll at the Middle School celebration, while all Lower School children had a chance to celebrate as our Torahs made their way around the entire building with flag waving, dancing and other traditional expressions of joy.
