Third Graders Uncover Owl Diets in Hands-On Pellet Dissection
In an engaging science lab, third grade students dissected owl pellets, which contain remnants of the owl’s meals and offer insights into its diet and ecosystem. By examining the small bones within the pellets, students could observe and identify what the owl had eaten. This hands-on activity provided a valuable understanding of the owl’s diet and its role in the food web.
