To support our expanding student body and better serve the needs of our youngest learners, we must reimagine the spaces where they learn and grow. This means creatively optimizing the current footprint and revitalizing communal areas, specialty spaces, and classrooms to reflect current practices in student-centered learning. 

Key updates include:

• Enhancing spaces for innovation and design to include a new teaching and learning kitchen and new woodworking studio and fabrication lab
• Modernizing the Upper Elementary science lab to spark deeper curiosity and engagement
• Transforming the Media Center into a modern, flexible space for learning, collaboration, and connection

• Revitalizing the Gymnasium to better support its dual role as both a physical education space and a central gathering space for the school community

• Reconfiguring classrooms and shared spaces to support growth, flexibility, and student wellness 

New spaces and improvements throughout the building will be designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of self from the very start.

The middle school years are transformative for our students - academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. This campaign reimagines the Middle School campus to meet this moment with intention and purpose. 

Key updates include:

• A new Center for Information, Innovation & Design, bringing together engineering, robotics, media, and technology in one integrated hub
• A dedicated chapel and multi-purpose space, strengthening spiritual life and serving as the “home” for new programs and activities within a Center for Jewish Identify and Leadership
• Modernized and flexible science labs outfitted with an essential safety infrastructure, ample storage, and cutting-edge tools that extend the learning
• Thoughtful updates throughout the building and inside the classrooms to support collaboration, wellness, and evolving student needs

Through the newly established Faculty Excellence Fund, The Davis Academy will deepen its investment in recruiting, retaining, and supporting outstanding educators who can deliver the highest-quality education now and into the future. Together, we will expand our team of changemakers and embrace our dedicated faculty with even greater Davis L.O.V.E. 

Amongst other things, The Faculty Excellence Fund will:

• Strengthen faculty support by enhancing compensation and benefits offerings including areas such as enhanced retirement benefit matches, parental leave, mental and physical wellness programs, and employee emergency support
• Deepen faculty growth and development by doubling our investment in professional development and leadership opportunities
• Ensure a bold future by creatively inspiring and cultivating the next generation of educators
