YOUR TAX CREDIT: A BIG IMPACT TO STUDENTS

The Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program makes an extraordinary impact to The Davis Academey student body—providing financial aid for qualified students with financial need.
Through the program, state residents, S- and C-corporations, LLCs, partnerships and trusts can redirect a portion of their Georgia tax liability to a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) in support of financial aid at one or more independent schools of the taxpayer's choice.
When you participate, you receive a 100% tax credit to your state income tax bill for the amount of your contribution.

The state legislature expanded the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program starting this year (2023), raising the annual cap to $120 million and increasing taxpayer contribution limits! See below for a breakdown:

  • $2,500 single individual
  • $2,500 married filing separately
  • $5,000 married filing jointly
  • $25,000 with Pass-Through Owner (not making HB 149 election)
  • 75% of annual tax liability C-Corp, Trust, or Pass-Through electing to pay tax at the entity level (HB 149)

How to participate?

The Davis Academy partners with ALEF Fund, a state-approved Student Scholarship Organization (SSO).
You apply to support The Davis Academy through ALEF.

Paperless – It’s fast and easy!

Complete the electronic form. No signature is required!  ALEF Fund stays in touch with you throughout the process, notifies you by email (or letter if an email address is not provided) when your application is approved and provides payment details.
In order to finalize your participation, The ALEF Fund must receive your payment within 60 days of the state’s approval either by mail to The ALEF Fund, 1440 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30309 (checks should be made payable to The ALEF Fund) or online with a credit card to aleffund.org.

Your participation in the Georgia Private School Tax Credit program is not considered a donation to The Davis Academy but rather a redirection of tax liability already owed to the state of Georgia. We hope you will continue to support The Davis Fund to help the school meet its other financial operating needs.
